Blurb:

On the surface Alena has a wonderful life – she’s a bubbly, vivacious
20 year old woman enjoying university with bestie, Becca, her quirky
Californian housemate and Phillip, her amazing boyfriend. But beneath
all that happiness there is pain, a despairing sorrow and a heart cut so
deep that it might never heal.   She is a wounded
woman, psychologically trapped between two worlds – a realm of darkness
and desolation and a life of love, hope and freedom. The man, who
controlled, manipulated and mistreated her as a child, is a malignant
shadow – a dangerous spectre lurking in the backdrop, who is hell-bent
on destroying and consuming her. But now she must find the strength to
fight for liberation. Banish the demons forever and embrace true love,
before she is devoured by the spirits of yesterday.    This is a
powerful and riveting story of one young woman’s courage, bravery and
determination to overcome a distressing and traumatic childhood and
welcome a new life with the man she truly loves.

Excerpt:

Chapter 3

The Heartthrob

A tall, dark, handsome guy breezes into my dorm room, his long brown
cardigan swooping across the scope of the generous space. I’m sitting on
my bed, eyes closed, heart open, feeling the coolness of his sexy
ambience rushing onto my face. It feels refreshing, delightful,
satisfying. Slowly, I ease my eyes open halfway, and my glance moves to
the doorway, where the presence of an ebony shadow stands proudly,
absorbing the light from the corridor. It makes me feel weak in the
knees, like a damsel in distress whose superhero has come to rescue her
from the tedium of uni life: studying, essays, exams and heavy
assignments. My face brightens, and I welcome the distraction.

Quickly, my eyes fully open; my heart races. I know who this sexy
20-year-old guy is. I am so happy he has come. I cannot breathe for a
few moments, and I push my hands firmly into the bed, leaving a dent, my
imprint of love, in the malleable covers. I lift my body up vertically
with these sturdy hands, and swing my bottom, back and forth, using the
strength of my body weight to keep me balanced. I stare deep into his
eyes, rendering him speechless at the sight of my light acrobatic
performance. I’m excited! He knows it. He can see my enthusiasm shining
through my eyes.

I am completely stimulated by this luscious visitor, and I can see
his eyes nearly bursting with fervour. He wants to touch me, I can tell.
But he is much too far away to do more than enjoy my body from a
distance. He licks his lips, staring readily at my breasts, nature’s
kind gift to men. I move into his line of vision like an ocean’s soft,
iridescent current, and moisten my thin, red lips, desperate for him to
come closer. Slowly, teasingly, he ambles towards me, his custom-made
jeans with diamond studs at the sides hanging loosely down, sagging at
the bottom. The waistband of his blue Calvin Klein boxer shorts is
clearly visible, more than adamantly insisting on his sexual prowess.

Britain’s Next Bestseller

About the Author:

I was born in East London and have lived there most of my life. I
started writing stories at six and have enjoyed writing ever since. In
2005 I graduated from Roehampton University and it is then that I found
my literary voice. I began writing professionally in January 2014, when
my novel ‘Heaven Calls For An Angel’, was published by a digital
publisher. I wrote this book as a tribute to a friend who sadly died of
cancer. My latest novel, The Glass Heart Girl, I published as an indie
author at first. But then I got discovered by a publisher and I am on
the verge of landing a book deal.

Interview:

1,I want to say thanks for taking the time to talk with us, I know you must be very busy, could you please tell us a bit about your self so my followers know who you are.

Thank you for interviewing me, it is a pleasure to speak to you. My name isMichelle Diana Lowe. I write books that deal with social issues, books that havea powerful message to give the world. I also like to champion under-represented groups in society, such as gender violence survivors. I am a real believer in giving these groups a literary voice. My latest book, The Glass  Heart Girl, tells the moving story of Alena Pavlis, a 20 year old college student  who is a gender violence survivor, on the emotional and challenging journey to recovery. She meets her soulmate at college, the amazing Phillip Gregson, and is desperate to banish the past and embrace a new life with him. But freeing herself from the ghosts of yesterday is not as easy as it sounds...Link to my pre-order page -  https://britainsnextbestseller.co.uk/index.php/book/index/TheGlassHeartGirl Link to  my website - http://michelledianalowe1.wix.com/the-author

2,How did you get into writing? When did you first think, "This is what i want to do." And how far do you see your self going with it.

I started writing from the age of six. From a very early age, words excited more and I found such joy writing stories. Aged nine, I wrote my first novel. I knew then, that writing was in my blood, a part of who I was, and I had a need to write. Gosh, I pray that I can really go all the way - becoming a successful author, someone that is able to entertain, educate, enlighten and move my readers. Wanting to be a successful writer solely to make a financial gain and nothing else, I believe, is very selfish. Writing is so much more than selling books and making money. Words have power, they can affect change, help people, change people's lives. I want to make a real difference to people's lives with my books. That's what being an author is all about in my opinion.

3,When/if you ever have free time to relax and enjoy your self, how do you like to spend it?

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I just want to relax at home, sitting in my pjs with a cup of milk and honey, watching a movie. Other times I want to go out with my friends and let my hair down. But whatever I'm doing, I always spend my time wisely. Every second in life is precious and should not be wasted.

4,I was wondering if you could tell us a little about your latest piece of work that you're  working on and when will it be released.

My latest novel, The Glass Heart Girl, is one of the most moving and enlightening books that one could read. It's about a young woman who is so broken, so lost, but she won't give up, no matter how much the past is intent on dragging her into the depths of despair. Alena Pavlis is a gender violence survivor, who is trying so hard to let go and move on. And with the help of her boyfriend, Phillip, and bestie, Becca, she is determined to start a new life and learn how to love and trust again. It's an emotional road for Alena. But ultimately, only she can banish the past and embrace her future
It's a really exciting time for me right now. I have signed a Publishing Agreement with new publisher, Britain's Next Bestseller. If 250 people pre-order my book, The Glass Heart Girl will be published. So if you like what you have read about my book, please pre-order and help my book win a book deal. You can pre-order The Glass Heart Girl from my publisher BNBS by November 28th November 2014 - https://britainsnextbestseller.co.uk/index.php/book/index/TheGlassHeartGirl

5,Who designs your front covers and do you get much say in what they look like.

Debbie from The Cover Collection creates all my covers. I request semi-custom covers from her. I choose the basic cover, then I have a say on how the picture is built up. She, of course, helps me to decide on any additional images I want to use, and gives options on text layout, positioning of images and text, level of blending etc. I love working with Debbie. She provides a great service and her covers are amazing. Check out her website - http://www.thecovercollection.com .

6,Okay I like to ask one totally random question, because I'm really strange like that. LOL. Have you ever dreamed you were in a story out of a book....one of your own or someone else's

Not so much now. But in my late teens, I often used to dream of being in Alice In Wonderland's eccentric world. I loved dreaming about having tea with the Mad Hatter, laughing with the Cheshire Cat and exploring a dangerous yet totally thrilling world, completely outside reality.

7,all my girl followers have a favorite book guy, and havng spoke to some of the guys, they have a favourite book girl... so Tanith tell me the truth who is your favourite book guy/girl and why?

My favourite book guy... Well, I think it has to be Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. He is just the ideal, sexy male lead, who is so easy to love and admire. His appeal is not just about his money, but his capacity to love and his intense, true feelings and emotions, which set him apart from the average male hero... Being British, I can't help adore the man.

8,Name one entity that you feel supported you out side of your family. and why.

My writing circles have really supported me. I owe them so much. They have believed on me, bolstered me and have been behind me every step of the way. I thank them from the bottom of my heart

9,I would like to thank you again for taking time out of your busy life to answer these questions because I know you're a very busy person Is there anything you would like to say to all your fans out there.

If you have a dream, to be an author, singer, artist, actor etc., never let it go. Do what you can to achieve your goals. Work hard and never give up on fulfilling that dream. Thank you for taking the time to interview me. I really appreciate your interest in me and my work.   I am on the verge of landing a publishing deal for this book. If 250 people pre-order my novel by November 28th 2014 from my publisher's website, Britain's Next Bestseller, I win the book deal!!
