Title: Stranger in my Arms
Stranger in My ArmsAuthor: Lisa Kleypas
Date Published:  July 1st 1989

Description:
"Lady Hawksworth, your husband is not dead."
With those words, Lara′s life turned upside down. Hunter, Earl of Hawksworth, had been lost at sea. Or so she′d been told. Their unhappy marriage--with its cold caresses and passionless kisses--was over. But now a powerful, virile man stood before her, telling secrets only a husband could know, and vowing she would once again be his wife in every way. While Lara couldn′t deny that this man with smoldering dark eyes resembled Hunter, he was attentive and loving in ways he never was before. Soon she desperately wanted to believe, with every beat of her heart, that this stranger was truly her husband. But had this rake reformed--or was Lara being seduced by a cunning stranger?

Review: This book starts with Lara's loveless marriage ended when her husband was lost at sea but after a long time it turns out he might not be when a man looking just like him turns up claiming to be him. Causing confusion and excitement, the earl seems to be nothing like the man who had left for India. Struggling to deal with the changes in her husband Lara al so has to deal with her growing feelings that have risen inside her.  Along side this Lara has taken a liking to a little boy who has been living in a prison with his dad. turns out the little boys dad had been hanged, and this left the little boy with nowhere to go. So along came Lara who opened her heart to him.  But Lara taking him in doesn't go down well with Hunter (her husband). creating problems for them until one day he comes to terms with the boy and grows to like him.But the plot thickens when someone turns up and tells Lara her husband might not be who he says he is, Leaving Lara to decide what she wants the future to be.

Overall View: Where to start, oh wow I loved this book. But then I didn't expect anything less, because  I love Lisa's work. Iv heard her being called a phenomenon and I'm gonna have to agree with them, iv not come across a book of hers that I  haven't loved. She has a knack of keeping you wanting and needing to read her books.  I loved the characters in this book, Hunter *swoon* is so hot but sweet. and Lara I love because  she is such a kind soul  all ways willing to help them in need. and little Johnny. I loved his London accent. If you haven't read any of  Lisa's books yet I think you should go out and get one right away.
