REVIEW

Title: Cat O' Nine Tails
Author: Patricia Leever
Cat O' Nine TailsDate Published: 11  August  2011

Description:  When Orrin and his brother Kale are hired by Queen Winifred to hunt down Aeron and her band of miscreants, Orrin never dreamed he’d fall in love with the beautiful she pirate, or the kind, accepting people of her island hideaway. As they grow closer, Aeron reveals her jaded past with Queen Winifred to Orrin; he doesn’t hesitate to offer his help to bring Winifred’s evil reign to an end. Aeron and Orrin soon discover that the strongest weapon in their combined arsenal is the love they have for each other.

Review: This story starts  with Orrin, he is on a quest set by queen Winifred to capture the she pirate that has put fear in the hearts of men. There first meeting was very exciting, Orrin caught Aeron the she pirate bathing in the lagoon totally naked. Aeron gets the better of Orrin because the sight of her makes him loose his concentration. Aeron takes him to her camp where her people are and Orrin is shocked by what he See's. people living together as one big happy family, not at all what he expected. As the book goes on and they get to know each other Orrin realises that  there is more to why the queen wants Aeron captured and he sets about finding it out what it is.  while this is happening  there is some one in camp who has the hots for Aeron and he doesn't like  the fact that Orrin is getting close to her, so he sets off to let the queen know whats going on and where they are.

Overall thoughts:    I was a bit unsure about this book at first because I don't normally read books about pirates and things, but I'm gonna say I loved this book. I loved the way Patricia  wrote about Aeron and Orrin and there love affair. you could all most feel the love coming off the page. Not only do we  read about Orrin and Aerons  great love but we hear about other great characters like Darcy and Kale.    I will say this book had a couple of shock factor bits where i was like " omg i wasn't expecting that". But it made me want to read on and see what was coming next. But i will say this book is not for the timid because of these shock moments. but if you can get past that then it is a really great read that you wont be able to put down. I was thinking that this book would make a really good film because there was so much to keep you interested. I think Patricia did a really great job with her first book and i cant wait to see what her next book is like. i just hope she picks me to review it for her.
