Blood Bound (Mercedes Thompson, #2)Title: Blood Bound
Author: Patricia Briggs
Series: Mercedes Thompson #1
Date Published: January 30th 2007

Description: Under the rule of science, there are no witch burnings allowed, no water trials or public lynchings. In return, the average law-abiding, solid citizen has little to worry about from the things that go bump in the night. Sometimes I wish I was an average citizen...

Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places - and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.

But this new vampire is hardly ordinary - and neither is the demon inside of him..

Review:  This book starts with Mercy getting a phone call of Stephen the vampire, in the middle of the night. He wants help from her, but when she finds out what it is she is not to keen on  the idea. They have to go and find a rouge vampire. but he isn't any normal vampire he is a sorcerer and holder of a demon. When out on the hunt for I'm all goes wrong and mercy is left giving evidence in front of the vampire seethe. She has to make them believe that Stephan is Innocent of the crimes the the sorcerer has set up to make it look like him. then Stephan and some others including the sexy male alpha go missing. and things are left to Mercy to sort out. she finds help  from a vampire called Andre but all is not what it seems. Along side this we get a story about a little girl who was turned werewolf and her family is looking for an alpha to take charge of her and help her through life. all so we see more of the 3 way romance going on with Mercy, Adam and Samuel.  we even read of mercy kissing Samuel, I was like   NO !!!!!!. lol. Yes as you can see I'm a very big fan of Adam, and I would bow down to that werewolf any time grrrrrrr.

I so loved this book, I think I even liked it more then the first one. There is so much detail in them. And sometimes they can be a very dramatic read, that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. I feel very drawn into these books and sometimes feel like I could be stood next to mercy as she is out on one of her  exciting adventures.  I all so feel that the love triangle between Mercy/Adam/Samuel is heating up and i really love it, I have my favourite in Adam and  I find my self shouting at the book when Mercy kisses Samuel. I thing Briggs has a great talent for making you feel like your a part of the story and for this i thank her greatly, it was one book i really enjoyed reading and id like to say iv all ways been a amp girl, but this series has totally made me rethink that.  ;)
