Title:  City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Claire
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)Date Published: 27  March  2007
Series:  The mortal  Instrument

Description:
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know....

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

Review:

Clary , is a small quiet girl, who gets thrust into a world of the shadow hunters, where things she thought were for fairy tales were real.in this world she falls in love with jace and finds things are not as they seem, turns out clary and jace might be brother and sister..But Clary isn't happy about this but she has to have his help to save her mum.

jace, is very sexy and very strong..he falls for clary right from the start and is in turmoil when he thinks he is related to her, the get closer and closer to her as they go through lots of really bad tings to try help clarys mother.

There are lots of interesting characters in these books, I loved it.It made me want to carry on and read the rest of them..i think casandra claire is really good at what she does, she brings to life a world full of excitement and she keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next installment.I really think you guys should go out and buy these books, there are good for people of all ages, Me and my daughter both love them.
