Review:
In this series Sabina has given up her old life as a vampire assian to live her new live as a mage. being half vamp and half mage this isn't an easy thing for her to do. She finds the more she tries to ignore her darker vampire side the more she wants to come out and play. which starts to crate problems for her. Being half mage has brought its own problems lately as well, in the last book we see Sabina's sister taken by there evil grandmother and Sabina and the gang have to set out to rescue her, leading to her sister Maisie attacking Adam Sabina's hot mage bf and feeding from him when she was blood crazed. Back to this book we see the gang coming to terms with what has happened to them and all looking forward- to a peace treaty being signed between all the dark races but there is some murders taking place and it looks like someone doesn't want the treaty to go ahead. all fingers point to a vampire being the culprit and Sabina and the gang set out to find out who the killer is. The gang thing they have the killer because all killings stop so its back to normal life and things with the treaty being back on track. But normal life isn't so good for Sabina when her bf finds she is hiding a big secret from him. this leads to the two splitting and us seeing Sabin's softer side coming out when her heart is broken.
Any way while all this is going on it looks like Sabina's sister Maisie is not coping with what has happened to her and she is having nightmares about what happened to her and she stops sleeping, this isn't good because she is the oracle and she needs to sleep to have a dream to let people know if they can trust the treaty. As it goes Sabina and Reah drug Maisie to help her sleep and hope she has a dream. but all goes wrong when it turns out that Maisie is hiding more then they know and turns out to be the killer and has been visited by Cain in her dreams and he wants to use Maisie and Sabina to take back Lilith as his own. Cain then sadly kills Maisie and this is where my heart breaks for Sabina and when Cain escapes she vows to get him back and punish him for what he's done.
Now iv gave you an outline to this story but it left out loads so i didn't spoil this book for you. This has to be one of my favourite series EVER!!!.I thing Jaye Wells has an amazing way words and describing things. she gets you hooked right from the start. The characters in this book come to life the more you read, with there own personality's theres not one I don't love in there own way.
I love the Adam and Sabina romance but I cant help feeling sorry for Slade and I look forward to him finding his true love in the next book. but I hope its not Alexis because she doesn't have many nice quality's lol. This is the 4th book in the series and I have to say its just getting stronger. I cant see this series ending anytime soon and for that I'm thankful because I don't know what Id do with out my Sabina fix. If you haven't started reading this series yet then I have to say what are you waiting for. I promise it wont let you down, it has something for everyone. xx
