Now Briggs begins an extraordinary new series set in Mercy Thompson's world—but with rules of its own.
INTRODUCING THE ALPHA AND OMEGA NOVELS..
Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she'd learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate
REVIEW:
In this book we meet Charles, Charles is a werewolf, a werewolf enforcer . His dad is the Alpha of his pack and Charles does all he can to make sure all the wolves follow the line for the safety of his pack. Charles is very tight and in tight control of his emotions. and he never lets anything get in the way of his job. Well all that changed when Anna came along. He never thought anyone could crack his tight mask and get under the armour he erected around himself to keep the worl at bay.
Anna is a newly made werewolf. she was forced into the supernatural world by Leo the Alpha of her local pack. As Anna grows to learn about the wolf hidden within , she learns that she inst just any normal werewolf but she is an Omega. Anna has a very bad time of it, being abused by her pack. forced to do thing that make her skin crawl. she thinks she cant take much more but that is when she meets her future mate.
As the two grow and get to know each other a crisis comes there way when Bran Charles dad sends them on a job to be rid of a rouge wolf but when they get there things turn out to be be more complicated then they thought it would be. Turns out it inst just a rouge wolf they are dealing with but something else from the supernatural world.
In this book we also meet new characters, one of them being Asil. he is a tortured werewolf . troubled by a past he cant let go of and the memory of a mate once lost and tortured by a child they once loved. When he is finally coming to terms with his past, he finds his past is coming back to haunt him. and he finds himself letting his guard down and helping Charles and Anna deal with the problem at hand.
Before reading this book you must first read the first book. a little novella called Alpha & Omega. if you dont read this book first you might not know whats going on.
Iv been looking for a new werewolf/shifter book for a while. and being a fan of the Mercy Thompson series I thought I would give this one a try. Im so glad I did because I was really Impressed with this book. It was really well written and was a really good read. In this series we see more then the first person point of view which I think it needed. because I dont think if would of been as good if you didnt get a look at what other characters were thinking and how they fit into the story. I was happy to see that this series had a lot more romance then the Mercy Thompson series and I think this helped you grow closer to the characters more easily .
I would definety give this book a 5 star rating and Im so looking forward to reading this next book.
