REVIEW: BECCA FITZPATRICK - Crescendo #2

7791997

Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

REVIEW:

This is the second book in the series, in the last book Nora grey surviving an attack on her life and Patch became her guardian angel.  love blossomed between the two and they thought things would settle down and they can get on with there lives but things never seem to go as planned with two and things become complicated.

Because of the way things have been going Patch and Nora seem to be growing apart. Patch starts hanging out with Noras life long enemy and it looks like the two are growing close. Patch cant seem to give Nora a hint on whats going on.

Along side this an old friends of Noras came into town and Noras mum seems to be set on the two hooking up. But there is a side to Scott that noone knows about, A dark side that scares her to death. but no matter what Nora cant seem to get her mind off Patch.

as if that wasnt enough Nora has been having dreams of her dead father and she is convinced she is seeing him everywhere. Convinced her Nephilim blood line has somthing to do with his death she goes hunting for answer but this just puts her more in danger and she has no idea who to turn to for help. She doesnt know who she can trust .

I found some of it really painful and frustrating to read, I felt so sorry for Nora as she seemed to have so much piling on her from all sides. with Patch acting like an ass and the death threats and seeing her dead father. having  no one to turn to. I felt like screaming for her.  What was the deal with Patch Iv never wanted anything more then to smack him round the head and tell him to sort himself out. the way he was in this book was so frustrating.  It took me a long while to  figure out what was going on with him. if he had only found a way to talk to Nora instead of leaving her hanging.

On the other side  of  the bad side, I just couldn't put it down, something kept me reading. It became addictive. In this book we seen Nora grow. she proved even though she is so young she wasnt going to give in and let anyone get the better of her. she showed us she was a fighter . I love a strong female lead. even though she had times where she wanted to break down. she picked her self right back up and got on with things.

This book was filled with action and suspense and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. So many plot twists it might leave your head spinning.  There isnt much romance in this book and thats possibly what its lacking for me.   But it will will pull at your heart strings, iv never felt like jumping into a book and giving them a helping hand more then I did with this book.

I know if you were to read this review it sounds like I didnt like it but the thing is I did. I shouldn't have because it left me so frustrated but I did.  Its got plenty of plot twists, and scenes that will make your heart race with excitement.  it keeps you seconded guess the characters.  It is a  book that you must read but be warned there is a cliffhanger to it.

RATING OF 4 LIPS.
