INTERVIEW

OK people, not so long back I read and reviewed  a book that I loved so much  to check my review click the link REVIEW. The Author is one really talented lady and I'm happy to say she has took the time to talk to me today. Tanith Davenport began writing at the age of sixteen as a way of utilizing her ability to drift into daydreams at any hour of the day or night. Her interests range between rock music and modern cinema to medieval literature and classical singing. She loves to travel and dreams of one day taking a driving tour of the United States, preferably in a classic 1950s pink Cadillac Eldorado.

“The Hand He Dealt” is Tanith’s debut novel and was released by Total-e-Bound Publishing on 13 June 2011.

The Hand He Dealt

by Tanith Davenport
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance
Publisher: Total-e-Bound

Book Description:
Astra Scott likes to live life to the full. A sorority girl and Gaming Management student, she spends her days studying and practicing guitar, and her nights partying or working at the Fountain Casino, where she has an internship as part of her final semester. The only blot on her landscape is Ash Drake, her best friend Sasha’s boyfriend. Arrogant, physical and blond, Ash has never forgiven Astra for her rejection months earlier and enjoys annoying her at every turn.
But when Astra’s boyfriend Harry reveals a shocking secret, Astra responds in the only way she can think of: by finding a way to take on a more attractive, masculine role in the relationship. Her experimentation with sex toys finds a surprising outlet in Sasha, but when Ash discovers their secret and wants to get involved, Astra finds herself torn between dislike and desire… and as their undercover relationship grows, Astra finds herself falling in love, a path she feels can only end in heartbreak.
For Ash may be the only man whose own fantasies are a match for hers, but can she knowingly steal his affections from her best friend?

EXCERPT:
Two hours later, and Astra stood in front of her bedroom mirror, holding in one hand the toy she had bought from Amy’s Delights.
Rubber underwear was laced through her fingers, a small plastic remote control dangling below on the end of a long cord. And attached to the front—
Well.
It was a strap-on.
It was a strap-on dildo.
And it was purple.
A purple length of shiny plastic. A perfect simulacrum of a veined, circumcised penis, five inches long and of a thickness Astra considered average, just the right width to wrap a hand around.
She stared at her reflection for a long time, contemplating the dildo, before slowly drawing it back towards her body, holding it against her stomach.
No.
One foot through the straps, two feet…rubber caught against denim-clad legs, but after a moment’s struggle the strap-on dildo was in place, and Astra’s image stood in front of her, the purple dick jutting out in front like the hilt of a sword.
Slowly she rotated her hips, watching the dildo glide from side to side, before stopping abruptly with a giggle.
Shit. It looks like a fucking light sabre.
Watching herself in the mirror, she closed one hand around its length, giving it a tentative stroke.
Nothing. Unsurprisingly.
She tried it again, this time holding the remote control and flicking the switch. A sudden buzzing, accompanied by a muted vibration through her jeans, made her jolt sharply.
Interesting.
Flipping the switch again, she rocked her hips slowly, her eyes glazing. In her mind formed a picture of Harry’s smooth back and bare buttocks, thighs parting to receive her, Harry’s voice gasping, begging for more, more, please, more…
Oh.
The switch snapped off.
Astra eyed herself coolly, squaring her shoulders, her legs automatically widening into a masculine stance

SATINHi Tanith, i want to say thanks for taking the time to talk with us, i know you must be very busy, could you please tell us a bit about your self so my followers know who you are.

TANITH-I'm an erotic romance novelist - my debut novel "The Hand He Dealt" has just been released by Total-e-Bound.

SATIN-
How did you get into writing? When did you first think, "This is what i want to do." And how far do you see your self going with it.

 TANITH-
I've always known I wanted to be a writer, but was spurred on to finish "The Hand He Dealt" by the approach of my thirtieth birthday. I don't know yet if I'll ever be able to make it my full-time job, but I intend to continue with it as long as I can.

SATIN-
When and if you ever have free time to relax and enjoy your self, how do you like to spend it?

 TANITH
I like to experience new things, from something as simple as a new restaurant to the more exciting, such as paragliding! I'm also a classically trained singer and can regularly be found at the cinema - I have a fascination for horror films.

SATIN-
I was wondering if you could tell us a little about your latest piece of work that you're working on and when will it be released.

TANITH- I'm currently working on two new novels and hope to have drafts for both finished by the end of the year. Both are erotic romances and both give me the chance for escapism, since one has a rock star as a hero and the other is set on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. Watch this space!

 SATIN-

,Who designs your front covers and do you get much say in what they look like?

 TANITH-

My cover for "The Hand He Dealt" was designed by Total-e-Bound's team. They asked me for suggestions - other than details of the hero and heroine's looks and personalities, my main idea was to include something casino-related to tie in with the title. Personally, I think they did a great job!

SATIN-

Okay I like to ask one totally random question, because I'm really strange like that. LOL. Have you ever dreamed you were in a story out of a book....one of your own or someone elses?

 TANITH-

I did dream I was Lyra Belacqua from "His Dark Materials" once - that was a bizarre one! I blame the film director for casting Daniel Craig; anyone would want to dream about him.

SATIN-   all my girl followers have a favorite book guy, and havng spoke to some of the guys, they have a favourite book girl... so Tanith tell me the truth who is your favourite book guy/girl and why?.
TANITH- Going back to Austen, it would have to be Henry Crawford from "Mansfield Park". Charming, intelligent and dashing - I'd have chosen him over Edmund Bertram any day.

SATIN- Name one entity that you feel supported you out side of your family. and why?

TANITH- The Romantic Novelists' Association provided a great deal of support and guidance when I was a member of their New Writers' Scheme; the critique provided led me to make several rewrites to my debut novel which ultimately resulted in its being accepted by Total-e-Bound.

SATIN-   I would like to thank you again for taking time out of your busy life to answer these quiestiions because i know you're a very busy person. Is there anything you would like to say
to all your fans out there
TANITH- I hope everyone enjoys my debut novel! If you want to know more about me, my blog is at tanithdavenport.blogspot.com and I can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.

Ok there you have peeople, i hope you enjoyed this post/interview and i really think you should give  Taniths book a try .
