Title: Lover Mine
Author: JR Ward
Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8)Series: Black Dagger Brotherhood
Date Published: 30th November 2010

Description:  John Matthew has come a long way since he was found living among humans, his vampire nature unknown. Taken in by The Brotherhood, no one could guess what his true history was - or his true identity.

Xhex has long steeled herself against the attraction to John Matthew. Until fate intervenes and she discovers that love, like destiny, is inevitable.

Review:    In this book we read about John Mathew and the love he wants but cant have. As all men do he turns to drink and shagging everything that walks to try and get over the need to have this one female who doesn't seem to feel the same way about him. But things take an even bigger turn for the worse when Xhex goes missing because she is taken by Lash one of the leaders of his enemy. John goes out of control and does everything he can to find her no matter what it is, this leading to him pushing the people closest to him away. when they Finlay find her she is in a bit of a mess because Lash hasn't gone easy on her.  John then has to help nurse her and be by her side while she recovers from everything done to her and he has to make things up to the people he pushed away.

Xhex is taken by Lash and is subjected to nightly beatings and rapes. when she is finally freed she has so much trouble coming to terms with what has happened to her and she has to lean on JM for support.Which I have to say is really hard for her because she is so used to being a baddass who is more then capable of standing on her own two feet.

Well I have to say this is one of my favourite books in this series, it is so filled with action and so much emotion it all most made me cry like a girl. I'm so glad JR has come back from the flop she had with  Vishous and Phurys books.  She now has me sat at the edge of my seat begging for more.

I love the fact that in each book we get a look at the other brothers story's and a lead the next book. JR is such a tease sometimes and knows how to keep you wanting more.
